This series, designed especially with women in mind, is being hosted by the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development. Each month, we gather for a time of powerful networking, a motivational “TED-type” talk, as well as a chance to learn more about our community. Everyone is welcome to attend and we look forward to having you join us! Say It Again (or maybe not): Why Words Matter The average person speaks 16,000 words a day. Communication is fundamental in how we connect with others – it’s at the heart of our personal relationships, it impacts our work experiences and even shows up in the quiet conversations we have with ourselves. This session will dive into the power of language. We’ll explore the words we give to others, the ones given to us, and the ones that echo in our own minds. In examining these three areas, we can move forward knowing our words have impact and make the most of our opportunities to communicate.
