Renaissance Theatre
The MindSprouts Showcase celebrates the imagination and creativity of young writers from across our community.
As part of the Renaissance Theatre’s Mechanics Bank Education Series, the program invites K–12 students to submit original writing in the form of short stories, poems, and plays. Through in-class workshops led by Renaissance Teaching Artist Dauphne Maloney, students explore storytelling, creative expression, and the power of their own voices.
Selected student submissions are then adapted for the stage and performed live, giving young writers the unique opportunity to see their words transformed into theatrical performances. The showcase highlights the talent and creativity of the next generation while encouraging students to develop confidence in their ideas and artistic expression.
