From brownfield to community asset—this celebration marks real progress on the former Westinghouse site and brings neighbors, businesses, and partners together to shape what’s next for East Fifth. Expect a full day of live entertainment, food trucks, vendor and organization showcases, and an evening fireworks finale—all free and family-friendly.
Why This Site Matters for Mansfield’s Future
The Westinghouse property has long been a reminder of an important chapter in Mansfield’s history, and it is now becoming a place where our next chapter can unfold. The Westinghouse Site Reuse Plan shows how this 14 acre brownfield can be transformed into a vibrant district with new public spaces, connected streets, green areas, and a mix of places to live, work, and gather. It reflects a clear opportunity to turn an idle site into a community asset that invites investment, strengthens nearby neighborhoods, and creates room for new ideas and new energy to take root. This celebration marks visible progress and invites everyone to be part of shaping what comes next for the site and for Richland County.

Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle as the world-famous Performance Dogs of Ohio showcase their skills, running, jumping, and sprinting through the shows.
Catch the show at 10:30am and 12:10pm.
Elektro the Robot
Elektro returns to Mansfield for a special appearance at A WestingHOUSE Party.
Elektro Experience + Photo Moment
Elektro, the iconic giant robot with roots in Mansfield’s story, will be making a special appearance. Visitors can get up close, snap a photo, and connect with a unique piece of Mansfield’s story.
Hands-On Maker Activity: Build-A-Robot
A kid-friendly, hands-on activity where children can build their own simple robot. It’s a playful way to spark creativity and introduce basic engineering concepts.
“Founding Fan” Signup Experience
Guests can join Elektro’s email list by scanning a QR code or signing up on a tablet. A small takeaway item adds a fun, memorable touch to the interaction.
Evening Entertainment
Two bands are scheduled for the evening entertainment:
Northern Downpour at 5:00pm-6:30pm, and Shucking Bubba at 8:00pm-10:00pm.
